Definition
DIN 933 defines a fully threaded hex bolt: the thread extends along the entire length of the shank, below the head. The hex head allows tightening with an open-end or socket wrench.
Common dimensions
Common diameters: M3 to M24. Standard metric coarse pitch. Lengths available in increments by diameter.
Materials and classes
Steel (classes 4.8, 5.8, 8.8, 10.9, 12.9), stainless A2-70 and A4-80, zinc-plated, black. Other materials and finishes on request.
Uses
General mechanical assembly, structural steelwork, industrial maintenance, boiler-making and automotive. The fully threaded shank suits through-bolting with a nut.
DIN / ISO equivalence
Equivalence: ISO 4017. The former DIN standards are now replaced or superseded by DIN EN ISO standards. For some sizes, notably M10, M12, M14 and M22, the width across flats (wrench size) may differ between DIN and ISO series. Specify the exact standard when ordering.
